Undergraduate students

Our research group warmly welcomes students from mechanics, physics, materials and other majors who are interested in scientific research to join the group (all freshmen to seniors are welcome). The faculties and graduate students of our research group will take you to appreciate the charm of scientific research, and feel the power of knowledge: from taking "selfies" at the atomic scale to building an atomic force microscope with Lego blocks, from C/Fortran/Python code to machine learning to supercomputers, from the novel properties on the atomic scale to the private design for the inconventional properties of materials, from the Schrödinger equation to the material gene database, there is always one suitable for you!

After joining the research group, you can use resources such as using various experimental instruments and equipment (after training), having a supercomputing account to use the server and supercomputing resources, using the resources and file-sharing platforms within the research group, etc. . And you can also choose to participate in the weekly group meetings, monthly Journal Club (reports and discussions in English), and weekly cultural and sports activities (badminton this year), dinner parties and other team building activities.

For students who are interested in our research group, please email directly to the contact email at the bottom of this page.

Postgraduate students

The Mechanics of Advanced Materials Laboratory of Beijing Institute of Technology warmly welcomes students who love scientific research, work hard and have a team-work spirit to join the group. Undergraduates majoring in mechanics, physics, materials and other majors are welcome to apply for direct postgraduate/direct master degree, and postgraduate students interested in micro-nano mechanics, multi-field coupling mechanics, mechanical metamaterials, functional materials and energy materials (both theoretical and experimental) are welcome to apply for the Ph.D.
