2017/01, On the occasion of the Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve, Dr.
Hong's collaborated work on anomalous thermal conductivity in VO2 was
published in the journal Science! In this work, the relationship
between the electronic thermal conductivity and electrical
conductivity of vanadium dioxide in the metallic phase was found to
deviate significantly from the Widmann-Franz law, providing a new way
to deeply study and understand the thermal transport behavior in novel
materials. This work was done in collaboration with the groups of
Prof. Junqiao Wu at UC Berkeley and Prof. Olivier Delaire at Duke University.
